The Spoken Word

I am a poet and a songwriter. I loved hip-hop as boy since it spoke to my own unresolved anger. Growing is about learning and unlearning everything you know. Gravity is not the only thing that holds us down. I failed geometry but I can put a circle in a square. I will not dim the shine. I cannot live your life but I can show you mine. I am excited for now, because now is all I see. I am excited for now. I hope you’re hearing me. Love—the only reason that we’re alive. You can’t see your own environment, because you’re in it. Be someone you’ve never been.
